Clare is a registered psychologist with a diverse range of counselling experience. Her approach is gentle, yet effective. It is grounded in evidence based practices, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), and solution focused therapy (SFT). Most of her work is with individual adult clients, but she also supports adolescents (15+), partners, and groups. Her clients have successfully addressed concerns including: trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, grief, discrimination, gender dysphoria, low self-worth, self-harm, substance use, communication and relationship concerns.

Clare has excellent skills supporting clients coping with the effects of trauma; developed counselling on the Chrysalis Anti-human Trafficking Crisis Line and working for Alberta Health Services Access 24/7. She has specialised skills to support clients who identify as neither cisgender nor heterosexual; including those experiencing gender dysphoria. She also enjoys working with clients diagnosed with autism.

Clare is happy to offer an initial 15 minute phone consultation at no charge, to provide an opportunity learn about more about her counselling style and to get a sense of how you could work together.
